Speaker information

Professor Jonathan Wolff, UCL

Many aspects of ordinary life, such as work and transport, pose small risks of death to people who use machinery or services. Normally those risks could be reduced, but often at a considerable cost. Should we always reduce risk if that is possible? Or is some level of risk safe enough? How, in any case, can we decide? In this lecture Professor Jonathan Wolff will explore some of the thorny moral issues involved.
