Open House London at UCL
Gower St | London | WC1E 6BT | United Kingdom
Founded as the University of London in 1826, UCL is the third oldest university in England and this year UCL will be opening its doors as part of the capital's largest architectural festival - Open House London. Tours of the Front Quad, North and South Cloisters, the Flaxman Gallery and the famous Jeremy Bentham auto-icon will run every 20-30 minutes throughout the day and visitors will also have access to UCL's amazing Archaeology Collections, the Strang Print Room (which contains over 10,000 fine art objects) and the Petrie Museum Egyptian and Sudanese archaeology, which will be putting on a range of fun and interactive children’s activities as part of this special day.
In addition to all this there will be the chance to see the animation film The Genie in a Bottle, by UCL’s Professor Hugh Montgomery. This short but powerful children’s film tells the story of climate change in a way that gets the message across to adults and children alike, and should not be missed.
