Childhood visual impairment and mental health: Science into practice

Location

Kennedy Lecture Theatre (link Map)
UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health | London | WC1N 1EH | United Kingdom

Open to: Academic | Student

The psychological wellbeing and mental health needs of children and young people with visual impairment and their families have been greatly neglected. Two main charities, the Mary Kitzinger Trust and Royal Society for Blind Children, have come together with Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and University College London to host this conference.

Together with the contributors and participants, we hope to spearhead important changes to improve understanding and meeting needs better.

Lectures and workshops by leading academic researchers, clinicians and practitioners from UK, Europe and internationally and parent and child representatives, to share the most up to date research and clinical practice and to bridge research and practice and support skill learning.
