Speaker information

Dr Adrian Jones, Reader in Petrology, UCL Department of Earth Sciences

UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources begin our seminar series with Dr Adrian Jones - Rare Earth Elements: From Mine to Magnet.

The sustainable supply of geological materials to industry can be portrayed by the Rare Earth Element market, which has seen an era of geographical dominance not entirely related to the distribution of source minerals. In this seminar Dr Adrian Jones, UCL Earth Sciences, describes some of the recent trends in this strategic market sector, and the impacts on industry and government alike.

Adrian Jones is a Reader in Petrology at the UCL Department of Earth Sciences and has worked and published on Rare Earth Element source geology
