Join the UCL Urban Laboratory for its second Stadtklang night on Sunday 21 July from 7-11pm. This is a Sunday evening get together and music event for anyone interested in cities and urban life held in the Arcola Theatre bar in Dalston, Hackney. It's an opportunity to meet like-minded people away from the seminar room, office, studio or lecture-hall and hatch plans, compare ideas, and find out what they've been up to over the weekend.

We’re very pleased that for the forthcoming Stadtklang we’ll be joined by Paul Purgas and Douglas Murphy who’ll discuss and play some city-themed music.

Paul Purgas is a sound artist and curator who records as Emptyset (with James Ginzburg) with releases on Raster-Noton and Subtext, he also runs the label We Can Elude Control.

Douglas Murphy is the author of The Architecture of Failure (Zero books), and is architecture correspondent for Icon magazine.
