Speaker information

Dr Ben Cox

Speaker information: Dr. Ben Cox. Host: MedPhys Seminar. Abstract: Acoustics - the science of sound - has many branches. This talk will touch on three of them: ocean acoustics, opera house design and photoacoustic imaging. How you ever wondered how these are linked? No? Why do some concert halls sound better than others? How is underwater sound used to measure climate change? How can lasers and time reversal be used to generate ultrasound images? Come along and find out.
