Kate Smurthwaite, Comedian and political activist

To mark International Women's Day, UCL medical student group Viva la Vulva and comedian and political activist Kate Smurthwaite will be hosting a special one-off comedy show about everything a nice girl wouldn't dream of mentioning.

Viva la Vulva is a campaign group set up by medical students to raise awareness about FGM (female genital mutilation), female genital cosmetic surgery and body image and other women’s sexual health matters.

Kate Smurthwaite performs at major clubs across the UK and around the world. She has made hundreds of radio and TV appearances including Question Time, This Morning and Woman’s Hour, and is a writer for the BBC Three political comedy show The Revolution Will Be Televised.
