This conference, convened by Dr Peter Clegg (University of the West of England) and David Killingray (Emeritus Professor, Goldsmiths) is the second event to be run under the umbrella of the Westminster in the Caribbean: History, Legacies, Challenges research network based at UCL Institute of the Americas.

The conference will explore current political relations in the UK Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies in the Caribbean and beyond, as well as the evolving dynamics of the relationship with the UK.

Organised in conjunction with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, confirmed speakers include Tim Colley, Head of Caribbean Territories and Strategy Department of the FCO’s Overseas Territories Directorate; John Fuller, former Hertfordshire London 2012 Ambassador and private consultant (speaking on the British Virgin Islands); and Malachy Cornwell-Kelly (on the crown dependencies).
