Sam Brown

UCL English Department is delighted to host a lute-song concert in memory of Emily Stiff, a recent BA English student. The concert will be performed by the talented young lutenist Sam Brown, who will be joined by a singer.

Sam Brown's performances in the UK and abroad have been noted for their "flair and intensity". His first studies were with Sasha Levtov at the Regis School of Music, which were furthered under bursary at the Junior Royal College of Music. In 2011 he was accepted into London's Royal College of Music, studying guitar and renaissance lute with Charles Ramirez and Jakob Lindberg. and he recently graduated. His performances at events of the UCL Centre for Early Modern Exchanges have been highly acclaimed.
