The National Institute for Health Research University College London Hospitals Biomedical Research Centre in partnership with UCLPartners is running a programme of regular award-winning workshops for clinical academic researchers on patient and public involvement (PPI) in research.
This workshop is for beginners (people who are new to the active involvement of patients and the public in research).
This workshop will cover some of the theory of involvement. There will also be an emphasis on the practical aspects of how to involve patients and the public, and a chance to think about how to do this in the context of your research.
This workshop will help you to:
- Build your understanding of patient & public involvement in research
- Begin involving patients and public in your research
- Develop involvement activities in a meaningful manner
- Learn from other participants about what works in specific contexts
