'Tackling obesity is one of the most complex problems we face as a society. This seminar faces the problem head on by bringing together expert speakers from a wide range of backgrounds for what will be an energetic and thought-provoking afternoon. Delegates will have a rare opportunity to take part in a truly multi-disciplinary discussion.' Professor Gabriel Scally, Director, WHO Collaborating Centre for Healthy Urban Environments, University of the West of England, Bristol.

The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) awarded funding for a series of seminars centered around past, current and future policy and research in behaviour change. This is the second seminar.

The series is organised by Bristol Social Marketing Centre at UWE, in conjunction with partners from Capita, City University London, National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE), On Target Consulting, University College London, University of Bath, University of Exeter, and the University of Manchester.
