UCL for Refugee Education is a joint initiative by UCL Student Support & Wellbeing, UCLU and Student Action for Refugees. A sadly overlooked area of the ongoing refugee crisis is education, with 50% of refugee children unable to access primary schooling and just 1% going on to higher education. In this panel discussion, a group of expert academics and charity workers will ask if we are at risk of creating a lost generation of children.

After introducing their work, our speakers will discuss a few key aspects of the refugee education issue. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session, when you'll be given the chance to get involved and ask our experts any questions you might have.

This is a free event, part of a week-long programme of fundraising and awareness events. There will be an opportunity to donate to the charities on the day. More information, including how to register, can be found at the link below.
