Speaker information

Chris Packham

Chris Packham is a naturalist, nature photographer and television presenter best known for his work in the BBC nature series Springwatch and Autumnwatch. As a passionate environmental campaigner and activist, Chris is not scared to speak his mind and to criticise conservation organisations where he sees lethargy and indifference, especially related to issues such as climate change, re-wilding and hunting. Chris is a hugely respected expert on British wildlife and a much celebrated communicator and persuader. His recent much applauded book, “Fingers in the Sparkle Jar: A Memoir”, brings to life a childhood packed full of traditional natural history and deals with his experiences of Asperger Syndrome.

Chris will cover the year of 2016 as seen through the photos on his iPhone. Expect to see his TV work, environmental campaigning, love of punk and even poodles.
