8TH INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP CARDIOVASCULAR BIOLOGY AND TRANSLATIONAL MEDICINE

This intensive one-day symposium will explore ‘hot topics’ in cardiovascular biology and will cover inflammation and critical cells types, genetics of cardiovascular disease and gene therapy, endothelial cell biology, molecular mediators and mechanisms of cardiovascular function in health and dysfunction in disease. Highlights include; atherosclerosis, genetic approaches and strategies to study and modify cardiovascular disease, novel strategies to target endothelial metabolism and the application of developmental biology relating to the formation of the vertebrate heart to provide clues to cardiac disease. Talks will also cover novel and molecular aspects of thrombo-inflammation and pulmonary vascular diseases, including cell and molecular pathogenesis, remodelling and the key molecular targets and signalling pathways in advanced therapeutics.
