The UCL Institute of Americas is delighted to announce this event featuring post-election commentary by Ana Margheritis, Celia Szusterman and Francisco Panizza. The speakers will also answer questions from the audience.

The outcome of the 2015 general elections in Argentina to be held on 25th October will decide the composition of the legislative bodies and the new president if no run-off round is necessary. With the current president, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, constitutionally barred from running again, and the results of the primaries in August, the scenario is still disputed between the main political coalitions. The Institute of Americas will take stock of the results of this election and the domestic and international implications of these results.
