Open to: Public
Admission: Free

This photography exhibition is the outcome of a remarkable collaboration between senior citizens from different faith communities in West Ealing and Hanwell. The project, initiated by UCL Geographer Dr Claire Dwyer and award-winning photographer Liz Hingley, records the exploration of eachothers' worship spaces.

The six volunteers, recruited from Our Lady and St Joseph Catholic Church, St Thomas the Apostle Church, West London Islamic Centre, London Sikh Centre, Ealing Liberal Synagogue and Shri Kanaga Thurkkai Amman Hindu Temple had no prior experience of photography and most had never visited other places of worship in their neighbourhood.

The photography project, funded by UCL’s Public Engagement Unit, draws on the research of Dr Claire Dwyer, Co-Director of the Migration Research Unit at UCL, on the significance of faith in the suburbs of London in the past and present.
