UCL-TB World TB Day Symposium

John Snow Lecture Theatre (link Map)
London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine | Keppel Street | London | WC1E 7HT | United Kingdom

On 24 March, the world commemorates the day in 1882 when Dr Robert Koch announced his discovery of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. UCL-TB takes this opportunity each year to highlight contemporary research innovation and future challenges in a one-day symposium co-organised by LSHTM and UCL.

Our theme for World TB Day 2018 is the challenge of antimicrobial resistant TB, and will include a debate that tackles the question: ‘Do we need host-directed therapy if we have a universal drug regimen?’

By including presentations that cover a diverse range of topics (including: laboratory sciences, epidemiology, health economics, policy research and modelling) from world leaders in their field, we aim to encourage discussion and debate around some of the most important themes in our fight against TB.

Tickets are free of charge but limited, so do please book early to guarantee your place.
