Simon Caufield, Founder, Nomis Solutions, After engineering at Cambridge in 1979, Simon spent 8 years in general management in the tyre industry. Following an MBA at LBS in 1989, he began a 13 year career in strategy consulting with Braxton Associates (Deloitte Consulting), Mercer Management Consulting and Mitchell Madison Group. Simon then specialised in financial services, made some money from the trade sale of Mitchell Madison Group in 1999 and, in 2002, founded Nomis Solutions which is an enterprise software company focused on price optimisation in banking and finance. After 6 years, Simon decided to leave the existing management to execute through to exit although he retains a significant equity position in Nomis. Since leaving Nomis, he has been building a portfolio career of freelance consulting and investing.

UCL's Department of Management Science and Innovation and UCL Advances organises a series of guest lectures from leading entrepreneurs and investors. These will be held every Thursday evening (during term time) starting at 17:15pm.

This week's guest speaker is the founder of Nomis Solutions.
