Open to: Academic | Alumni | Public | Student
Admission: FREE
Ticketing: Pre-booking essential

Join James Kneale (UCL Geography) for a guide to mapping alternate London and creating gates that link the imperial metropolis to real and imagined visions of Egypt. Drawing on work such as Tim Powers’ The Anubis Gates, we will explore spaces in which Egypt has entered London and offer ways of physically and virtually connecting Egypt to London. Participants will also have the chance to make an alternative map of London with real and imagined gates and tunnels into an Ancient Egyptian universe.
