Dr John Troyer, University of Bath

Join Dr John Troyer for a pictorial tour of the twenty-seven million dollar Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky USA. Since its opening in May 2007, around 835,000 visitors have witnessed the spectacle of animatronic dinosaurs playing with children, walked through a scale model of Noah's Ark, enjoyed creationist cosmology shows in the 78-seater planetarium, and marvelled at the large-scale Garden of Eden diorama, complete with vegetarian Tyrannosaurus - all in firm support of a young earth,? Christian explanation of the planet. Dr Troyer's presentation will closely (and humorously) examine the relationships between Creationism, Intelligent Design, and Evolution in America.
