“Climate change is the biggest global health threat of the 21st century…the impacts will be felt all around the world – and not just in some distant future but in our lifetimes and those of our children.”

Following the 2009 Lancet-UCL Commission on Climate Change, international experts have come together in a new commission to respond to the health emergency of climate change. This event is an opportunity to question those experts – climate scientists, economists, energy and health professionals – on both the scale of the threat as they see it, and potential ways forward.

Registration - 5pm Symposium Starts - 5.30pm Panel & Audience Discussion - 6-7.00pm

The panel will be chaired by Anthony Costello (Director, Institute for Global Health, University College London) and Peng Gong, (Director, Tsinghua University Centre for Earth System Science, Beijing).
