Science Museum Late Event
Science Museum |
Exhibition Road, South Kensington | London | London | SW7 2DD | United Kingdom
This term MA Museum Studies students are in the process of creating an exhibition in cooperation with the Science Museum that shall be displayed at the Institute of Archaeology on the theme of 'Sexual Symbols'. As part of this exhibition, we shall be taking part in the Science Museum's late event at the end of April, on the topic of food and sex.
There will be two activities for visitors to take part in. The first being an innuendo bingo game involving the sexual advertising of food products, which will explore the science behind why brands use sexual images in advertising. The other activity will revolve around aphrodisiacs, where visitors will be able to play large aphrodisiac based gamed, which will look at the physical and psychological effect these have on our bodies. This will also be in cooperation with an aphrodisiac tasting table that shall be put on by the Science Museum.
