UCL Cancer Institute Special Seminar

Courtyard Café | Paul O'Gorman Building (link Map)
72 Huntley Street | London | WC1E 6BT | United Kingdom

Open to: Academic | Student

Professor Douglas Green, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital presents: LC3-associated phagocytosis in anti-cancer immunity.

LC3-associated phagocytosis (LAP) is a process wherein components of the autophagy machinery are recruited to the membrane of a phagosome containing, for example, a dead cell. As a consequence, the membrane is "decorated" with lipidated LC3, which affects signaling in the cell. We will discuss how LAP influences the control of autoimmune disease and anti-cancer immunity.

Hosted by: Prof Henning Walczak

Sandwich buffet lunch will be offered after the seminar.

This seminar has been sponsored in part by Merck, the Biomedical Research Centre and Cancer Research UK.
