Join exhibition curators Gemma Romain and Caroline Bressey on a walking tour through Bloomsbury, exploring histories of the African and Asian presence in the area during the 1920s and 1930s. Learn about the Indian Students Union and Hostel of the YMCA, black visitors to the British Museum Reading Room, the fight against the ‘colour bar’ in the area, and Slade artists’ drawing and painting this black presence.
