Part of the Seminars in Genomic Medicine series, organised by Queen Mary University of London and Genomics England. This series of free events will deliver a program of lectures for the clinical, scientific and research communities involved in 100,000 Genomes Project.

Speaker: Dr Kári Stefánsson, Chief Executive Officer of deCODE genetics. Kári Stefánsson, M.D., Dr. Med. has served as President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director since he founded deCODE genetics in August 1996.

Through whole-genome sequence data from more than 100,000 people from Iceland, deCODE Genetics has discovered genetic risk factors for dozens of common diseases. In this talk, join us to learn insights from the largest study of whole genome data ever published and the power of sequencing for understanding disease, diversity and evolution.

The talk will be followed by a drinks reception.
