Speaker information

Colm O’Cinneide, Reader in Human Rights Law, UCL

Over 140 countries have now ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, but to what extent has this landmark convention had a positive impact on the one billion people globally (15% of the world's population) who live with a disability?

In the latest in our on-going series of seminars exploring issues surrounding disability and international development, Colm O’Cinneide will discuss the challenges of enforcing disability rights and legislation.
