Recent Technologies in Microbiology

Location

School of Biosciences (link Map)
University of Birmingham | Edgbaston Park Road | Edgbaston | B15 2TT | United Kingdom

Open to: Academic | Student

The current conference on Recent Technologies in Microbiology is based on the recent developments in the field of microbiology; this would encompass general themes of high-throughput screening, imaging, metabolomics, sequencing and data handling (bioinformatics). The mentioned themes are very relevant to current ongoing research and applications in microbiology. Following the talks, and during scheduled breaks in the programme, there will be opportunities for delegates and speakers to open discussion about the technologies and perhaps begin new collaborative efforts to make use of the research approaches showcased. A poster session will allow students and early-career post-docs from around to present their work and show how they are utilizing technologies in microbiology.
