Speaker information

Professor John Martin

The exciting and rapid advances of science are changing society. Whilst offering possibilities to relieve human suffering and enhance human potential, science sometimes collides with philosophical beliefs. The Division of Medicine at UCL has organised a colloquium at which a question “Should we clone Neanderthal Man?” will be discussed. I believe this will be an intellectually invigorating interaction between four leading thinkers in the field. Furthermore, as chair I will make sure that there will be stimulating discussion between the audience and the speakers.
