Professor Paul Freedman, Yale University

Join us for a one-day conference sponsored by the British Society for the History of Science and London BioNat to discuss Europe’s fascination with spices as both food and medicine and the role of spices in the advancement of global scientific knowledge and medical practices. Conference speakers include Paul Freedman, Chester D. Tripp Professor of History at Yale University, and Dr. Sabine Anagnostou of the University of Marburg, President of the German Society for the History of Pharmacy.
