Collaboration, recognition, and leadership: How to succeed in Team Science

(link Map)
The Academy of Medical Sciences | London | United Kingdom

Open to: Academic | Student

Succeeding in Team Science will be chaired by Professor George Davey Smith FMedSci, Director of the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit and Professor of Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Bristol. Professor Eleftheria Zeggini, Group Leader at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, will be delivering the keynote speech.

Two years ago, the Academy of Medical Sciences published a report on ‘Team Science’; output-focused research involving two or more research groups. The report highlighted the increase in popularity and success of team science as researchers seek to solve global challenges to realise economic and societal benefits, whilst also highlighting some of the challenges faced.

Succeeding in Team Science is a responsive career development event designed to enable biomedical and health researchers to seize opportunities to work collaboratively, through workshops, discussion and presentations of the latest team science research.
