Speaker: Professor Wayne Hall

Prof. Hall was the Inaugural Professor and Director of the Centre for Youth Substance Abuse at the University of Queensland until the end of 2016. He is Professor at the National Addiction Centre, Kings College London and a Visiting Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre at the University of New South Wales. He has been a member of the World Health Organisations' Expert Panel on Drug Dependence since 1993 and has advised WHO on: the health effects of cannabis use; the effectiveness of drug substitution treatment; the contribution of illicit drug use to the global burden of disease; and the social and ethical implications of genetic and neuroscience research on addiction
