ADAPT Together meeting: what support you need to build a research career?

Location

South Cloisters | Wilkins Building (link Map)
Gower St | London | WC1E 6BT | United Kingdom

Open to: Academic | Student

The UCL Academic Careers Office (ACO) is delighted to announce our first open space meeting for clinical and non-clinical PhD students in SLMS and BEAMS.

We are committed to helping PhD students overcome the barriers they face in building a research career, such as finding appropriate advice on how to get funding, balancing work and personal commitments, dealing with difficult colleagues or fingering out your next career move. Many of these challenges can be overcome by networking with colleagues that have been in similar situations and are able to provide support and a different way of looking to the problem at hand.

Open space meetings are a great way for groups to think, talk and take action together. Facilitated by an expert team, participants will create their own agenda on the day, allowing a dynamic and immediate response to the issues that really matter to the people in the room! Participants will work together to plan further action and next steps collectively.
