Since the financial crisis the tax affairs of major businesses in the UK have been subject to unprecedented levels of scrutiny. A series of exposes by the media, interventions by the Public Accounts Committee and campaigns from a variety of social justice groups captured the public’s mood during a time of austerity.

Through the Great Business Debate, the Confederation of Banking Industry (CBI) aims to move the conversation about the business tax contribution forward, creating a platform to debate topical issues such as how seriously the business community takes its responsibility as tax payers. The audience will be able to take part in the debate during the Q&A.

The Great Business Debate is a CBI led campaign to help build public confidence in business.
