Next generation DNA sequencing: how far can it take us?

Location

Leolin Price Lecture Theatre, Lower Ground Floor | Wellcome Trust Building, Institute of Child Health (link Map)
30 Guilford Street | London | WC1N 1EH | United Kingdom

Open to: Academic | Student

Speaker: Professor Nigel G. Laing, Centre for Medical Research, University of Western Australia, Perth. Host: Seminar series of the MRC for Neuromuscular Diseases: Dubowitz Neuromuscular Centre - Ad hoc lecture. The power of next generation sequencing is obvious in discovering new genes and better diagnostics and this will only increase. There is much hype about how this power will improve health in the future, but little research into how to utilise the power of genomics, or how much we are willing to let genomics intrude into our lives.
