2010 has seen an increase in anti-Roma discrimination across Europe culminating in expulsions of Roma from France and Italy. This event will discuss the current situation that the Roma of Europe are facing.

Dr. Aidan Mcgarry, (University of Brighton) will be discussing: Redistribution or Recognition? The Dilemma of EU Roma Policy

Dr. Dan Oprescu, (The Romanian National Agency for the Roma) will address: Roma - Between Social Inclusion and Racial Discrimination

The discussion will be Chaired by Professor Dennis Deletant (SSEES, UCL).
