Mark Post is a Chair of Physiology, a Professor of Vascular Physiology and the Vice Dean of Biomedical Technology at Maastricht University. His research interests include vascular biology, neovascularization, endothelial and smooth muscle cell function and restenosis. He is developing novel materials for arterial grafting and is engaged into early diagnosis of neovascularization by means of molecular Imaging. More recently he became involved in skeletal muscle tissue engineering in order to create cultured lab grown meat for consumption (Schmeat) which has gained considerable worldwide media attention.
