Farr Short Courses: Genomics and E-health Research

Genomics and E-Health Research is a comprehensive one day course aimed at medical students, physician-scientists and other medical professionals. The course is an introduction to the key areas of genomics, human genetics and genetic variation.
The course will provide a multidisciplinary perspective and an overview of contemporary methodologies for identifying genes involved in complex human diseases, interpreting genetic data and how genomic medicine can be applied to improve healthcare through the development and application of diagnostic tests and therapeutic agents.
The course also covers the ethical issues associated with confidentiality and storage of DNA data.
