Speaker information

Dr Laura Tosi, Associate Professor of English at Università Ca'Foscari, Venice. Her research interests are in Shakespeare and Renaissance drama, especially gender and adaptation; and in British children's literature. In 2013 she contributed to 'Textual Transformations in Children's Literature', ed. Benjamin Lefebvre, and to 'Adapting Canonical Texts in Children's Literature', ed. Anja Mueller. Her publications also include 'Visions of Venice in Shakespeare' (edited with Shaul Bassi, 2011).

Dr Laura Tosi of Università Ca' Foscari, is coming to UCL as holder of an International Teaching Excellence Bursary. She has published widely on Shakespeare and on British children's literature, and in this seminar will share with us her latest research on narrative adaptations of 'Hamlet' for children.
