Speaker information
Seth Berkley, President and CEO, The International AIDS Vaccine Initiative
Professor Anne Johnson, Chair, UCL Institute for Global Health
Join us to explore how AIDS vaccine development is progressing and how issues such as vaccine acceptability and developing country health systems need to be addressed in order for a vaccine to successfully affect the pandemic.
Seth Berkley (President and CEO, IAVI) will present progress towards securing an AIDS vaccine and the role and work of IAVI in this global effort, and he'll be joined by Mike Rowson (UCL Centre for International Health & Development) and Professor Jackie Cassell (Brighton and Sussex Medical School) who will discuss some of the broader issues which would affect the success of an HIV vaccine.
Drinks will follow the discussion.
