UCL opens its doors to the public for the annual showcase of the capital's architecture. Guided tours every 30 minutes will feature the main building designed by William Wilkins and will include Jeremy Bentham's auto-icon. UCL Library Services will be offering tours of the Wilkins building Portico and adjacent Flaxman Gallery which lie at the heart of its Main Library where visitors will have be able to see the Main Library staircase, rebuilt by Nicholas Burwell Architects in 2004-5.
The Institute of Archeology is offering a rare opportunity to explore Europe's largest archaeological facility and interact with some of its 80,000 objects. Tours around the building offer the chance to take part in object handling sessions. Tours which will leaving at 12noon and 1pm, please register at the front quad reception desk.
Dont forget to visit the Grant Museum and Petrie Museum who will also be open offering various activities throughout the day.
