Based on the award-winning biography 'Marie Antoinette: The Journey', by British historian Lady Antonia Fraser, Marie Antoinette is a sympathetic account of the private life of the last queen of France before the revolution. The film is set to a contemporary 21st century soundtrack and attempts to capture the decadence of the court of Versailles.

Costume and fancy dress to emulate the decadence and style of the court of Versailles is encouraged. There will be prizes for the best dressed.

This screening is part of the public programme for exhibition Revolution under a King: French Prints 1789-92.
