Thursday 24 March is World TB Day, which commemorates the date in 1882 when Dr Robert Koch announced the discovery of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacterium that causes tuberculosis (TB).

Last year the UCL Institute for Global Health used this occasion to host 'The Challenge of TB: UCL's Contribution', which took an overview of UCL's response to the challenge of TB. This year, on World TB day, we intend to look in more detail at specific projects undertaken at UCL. In a series of short presentations and a poster session, UCL researchers will showcase specific aspects of their work.

A full programme will be available in early March.
