Paul Higgins, Serial Entrepreneur and Investor, Fields Park Limited, Paul Higgins is a serial entrepreneur and investor in the media sector. Over the past 30 years he has been involved in launching, building, acquiring and/or selling over 60 businesses in the fields of publishing, television production, web design, advertising, film production and film distribution. Paul studied Psychology at UCL and gained an MBA from City University Business School prior to joining N M Rothschild in 1980. After 5 years working in corporate finance with Rothschild's and a number of other specialist corporate finance boutiques, Paul left the City and joined the real world. He started launching and investing in businesses on his own account and via his consultancy company Fields Park Limited.

UCL's Department of Management Science and Innovation and UCL Advances organises a series of guest lectures from leading entrepreneurs and investors. These will be held every Thursday evening (during term time) starting at 17:15pm.

This week's guest speaker is Paul Higgins from Fields Park Limited.

Notable successes, founded by Paul include: Brass Tacks Publishing - a contract publishing business that was demerged into 2 divisions (B2B and consumer) and sold to Chime Communications PLC and Incisive Media PLC, Target Media Group - the leading independent marketing and communications agency to the entertainment sector, Coco Television - Irelands leading independent television producer and Optimum Releasing built from scratch into one of the UK's leading independent film distributors, releasing many award winning films including 'Fahrenheit 911', 'Pans Labyrinth', 'This is England' and 'The Hurt Locker' winner of 6 BAFTA's and 6 Oscars this year.
