Beyond Osis and Osiris: Alternate Sexualities in Ancient Egypt

Launch of a museum trail as part of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) History Month. The trail considers some of the evidence used to support the existence of homosexuality and construction of sexuality in ancient Egypt. Taking the visitor around objects within the Petrie Museum, it considers a wide range of areas and ages within ancient Egypt. The trail also considers some of the myths and stories that construct ancient Egyptian sexuality. This event is a chance for you to explore the museum with a gkass of wine and an informative object-based trail.
