Energy Data Hackathon with UCL and Voltaware

Room 225, Central House (link Map)
14 Upper Woburn Place | LONDON | WC1H 0NN | United Kingdom

Open to: Academic | Student

The challenge will be to utilise data from Voltaware’s proprietary home energy monitoring system and to come up with a machine learning algorithm that performs best at identifying the sources of energy consumption in a home using high frequency electricity metered data. This is known as energy disaggregation using non-intrusive load monitoring. A training data set will be provided and the algorithm that demonstrates the highest accuracy on a test data set will be the metric. Teams are allowed to whichever tools they deem best and any other sources of data they can think of.

Enjoy a weekend of hacking and problem solving investigating how data science can be used in the energy industry. Voltaware are sponsoring a £500 prize for the winning team
