Raw Talent is our Black Minority Ethnic (BME) link to mentoring. We invite local schools, parents, community leaders and teachers to visit UCL and sign-up to our mentoring programmes. We aim to bridge the gap and challenge stereotypes about university life and help all young people to feel that this is something that they can aspire to.

Our main aim is to build networks within the community in order to support potential UCL students via mentoring aimed at pre-19 learners. By achieving this aim, we can raise the awareness of higher education and the options it can provide to groups of students who historically have lower levels of participation.

As acknowledged by the Provost, UCL was founded on the principle of equality. By supporting Black History Month every year, you take a proactive stance in creating an equality of opportunities and the promotion of diversity.
