Speaker information

Professor Richard Cowan, Professor of Psychology of Education, UCL Institute of Education

Both dissatisfaction with primary school children's mathematical achievement and disagreement about the causes of individual differences are perennial concerns. This lecture considers the factors that may be influential, drawing on findings from research projects funded by the ESRC and the Nuffield Foundation. It also outlines why it is important for developmental psychology and educational policy to research the reciprocity of relationships between factors in middle childhood.

If you would like to attend please email Michael Walker and a place will be reserved for you. The lecture will be followed by a wine reception.
