Speaker information: Martin Schweiger. Host: CMIC Seminar. Abstract: Measurements of near-infrared light transmission at multiple wavelengths can be used to directly reconstruct the concentration and distribution of different chromophores in the body, such as oxy- and deoxy-haemoglobin. This method exploits the known linear relationship between absorption at a given wavelength and chromophore concentrations. The multispectral method can also be used to extract scattering parameters, even if the data do not contain phase information. I will be showing reconstruction results from simulated data and from clinical breast measurements.
