Dr David Heymann, Chair of the Health Protection Agency UK & Head of the Centre on Global Health Security, London, UCL

In this series, senior managerial and field personnel involved in the smallpox eradication programme of the 1970's will present their own views of that historic campaign. By show-casing the participant's perspective, this series will offer original insights into one of the greatest public health achievements of the twentieth century as it unfolded across the globe.
