Speaker: Professor Florian Kern, Brighton and Sussex Medical School, University of Sussex

After training in Germany, Professor Kern moved to the Brighton and Sussex Medical School to take up the Foundation Chair in Immunology. His lab is studying the depth of T and B cell responses to important human pathogens such as Tuberculosis and Cytomegalovirus. In particular he is investigating the spectrum of functional characteristics associated with antigen-specific T-cells.
